Island Life

A 6 track leftfield/idm ep (30m 8s) — released March 9th 2015 on Donky pitch

The first Donky Pitch release of 2015 is a debut on the label from Brighton based Mount Bank. Out 9th March 'Island Life' features five original tracks of classically influenced electronic music that calls on melancholic piano lines brushed up against bright synth melodies, intricate percussive movements and a restless energy that runs through each composition. Anenon (Non Projects) provides a driving remix featuring rising synths, bristling drums and saxaphone

Mount Bank is the solo project of Samuel Organ, focusing on his passion for experimental electronic music and modern classical. Outside of this he is a member of the Physics House Band (signed to Blood & Biscuits), playing shows across Europe with acts like Jaga Jazzist, Deerhoof and Alt J. As a classically trained percussionist he has performed in orchestras and jazz ensembles, as well as maintaining regular DJ slots alongside the likes of Bonobo, Machinedrum, and Flume. He also has a degree in Professional Musicianship, achieved before his 18th birthday.

Organ first appeared on Donky Pitch in late 2014 with a track on their 5th Birthday compilation, following releases on Finesse and his own label, KLDSCP. 'Island Life' will be followed by his debut album, slated for late 2015.
